Is genetic testing mandatory?
No, genetic and pharmacogenetic testing is completely optional. It is an add-on service offered to patients who want deeper insights into their individual metabolic pathways and potential responses to specific medications.
Are medications delivered to my home?
Yes. For your convenience, we partner with specialized pharmacies that can deliver your prescribed medications securely and discreetly right to your doorstep anywhere in Ontario.
Is this covered by OHIP or private insurance?
Certain aspects of your care, such as specific physician consultations or standard laboratory tests, may be covered by OHIP. Medications and optional allied health services (like psychotherapy and nutrition counseling) are generally not covered by OHIP but are often eligible for reimbursement under private health insurance or health spending accounts. We provide receipts for all services.
How often are follow-ups scheduled?
Follow-up frequency varies depending on your personalized treatment plan. Typically, patients are seen 6-8 weeks after starting a new protocol to assess initial response, and then every 3 to 6 months for ongoing monitoring and adjustments.
What should I do in an emergency?
Evira Health is not an emergency medical service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, severe adverse reaction, or urgent health crisis, please call 911 immediately or proceed to your nearest hospital emergency department.
